A women’s meditation and yoga retreat  at Calliote Canyon nestled in the pristine mountains of Ojai, CA

Ojai is considered sacred land by the Chumash tribe, and at Calliote Canyon we find both, the true sacredness and beauty of the land as well as the comfort and elegance of a resort style retreat.

A stunning, one of a kind property, Calliote Canyon is situated in a magical secluded canyon surrounded by an abundance of sun dappled foliage, a pure babbling mountain brook, ancient boulders and peaceful pathways.  A true sanctuary for a weekend of total immersion into the “Bliss of you own true Nature” (Svaroopa). 

The accommodations display an abundance of stone and woodwork and handcrafted designer furniture. Cozy fireplaces and enclosed outdoor decks provide plenty of places for lounging, a perfect invitation for a healing, nurturing and joyous women’s gathering. 

 The sacred places all around the property from the creek side deck to the luscious lawns provide for quiet introspective moments alone.   And after a day filled with a wide spectrum of yogic activities, including therapeutic asanas to restore balance of body and mind, rejuvenating breathing practices, centering meditations, and mindful movement explorations, we get to gather around the sunken fir pit for a traditional fire ceremony.   Plus there will be time to enjoy the outdoor jacuzzi while gazing at the stars or relax in the Swedish Sauna and then jump into the natural plunging pool.  Massages and other body treatments will be available for an additional charge.   And for our taste buds we get to enjoy three scrumptious meals a day including vegetarian and a seafood feast.   A guaranteed nourishing and healing experience on many levels.

The Date:  Friday Dec. 4 - Sunday Dec. 6, 2009 

Rates:  (rates include all yogic activities, 3 meals a day, deluxe accommodations at Calliote Canyon)

$470 per person ($520 after 10/30) for shared room in main house (3 or 4 to a room) with shared bath.

$500 per person ($550 after 10/30) for double (queen + possible rollaway) with shared bath

$550 per person ($600 after 10/30) for master suite with king bed with private bath

$550 per person for private cottage (queen + possible rollaway) with private bath. 

An advance non-refundable deposit of $250 is required to reserve your space on this retreat.   Deposits are transferable to another retreat if cancellation is received by Oct. 9^th.  Balance must be paid in full by Oct 30^th to receive the discounted rate.  Balance must be paid by Nov 20^th for everyone else.   In the event of cancellation after Oct 30^th, we are happy to refund the balance due if we are able to fill your spot.
