*Meditation Class:

This group meditation class is particularly designed to support your daily sitting practice. You will have an opportunity to review techniques that help you stay more focused and aligned with the benefits of a regular practice. You will learn a basic pranayama breathing practice that prepares the body for sitting and helps the mind and nervous system to settle and quiet. You will also learn specific meditation practices and experience guided and non-guided meditation. We will also explore different spiritual texts and have time for questions and sharing.
Whether you are a long time practitioner or have just recently started a meditation practice, this ongoing meditation series will help you deepen into your practice and stay committed to it.  You can join any Friday in Mission Viejo from 5-6pm!
Study Group of Yoga Sutras of Patanjali in Oceanside

Please join this group to explore a deeper understanding of the teachings of Yoga and Meditation via the ancient Sutras of the Indian Sage Patanjali.This group exploration will include chanting the Sutras, reflecting and meditating on their meaning, group discussion and sitting in the Silence of the teaching. We will use the Sutra books with translation and commentary by Baba Hari Dass. Feel free to bring any other translation of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali that you might have.

Breathing for Health, Energy, and Peace of Mind

Please join Savita for this intermediate pranayama workshop and deepen into your current yogic breathing practice as well as learn new intermediate techniques.  You will also explore specific yoga asanas that energize the body and create passageways for increased breathing capacity and for prana to flow.   Learn about how pranayama can balance the three doshas (bodily humours), vata, pitta, kapha which regulate vital functions in the body.  Experience directly how these intermediate breathing practices help you deepen into meditation while calming and balancing the thoughtwaves of the mind.  Plus receive guidelines on how to set up a personalized daily practice.

This workshop is for those who have a regular asana practice and have some experience with the 4 Purifications as taught in the weekly meditation class with Savita

The Holiday Season presents a special time of the year, a time that invites stillness, sharing, peace and goodwill, a time that celebrates the gift that we are to each other. During this day retreat you will enjoy all this and more.  We will explore how basic therapeutic asanas can introduce the body and mind to the natural stillness that lies within.  We will also explore how pranayama (breath control) and dharana (concentration) help the mind find peace and balance, so that together we can simply sink into the essence of dhyana (meditation), the presence of NOW.  Being in silence throughout the day will enhance the feeling of well-being and deep contentment, allowing us to savor the true spirit of the Season!  As our day unfolds into the experience of deep inner quiet, you will be guided into a sound healing meditation in the afternoon.  Together we will embrace the healing possibilities of sound as an Awakening.  You will experience how these profoundly nourishing sounds can deepen your experience of peace, joy and equanimity.The day also includes a festive vegetarian luncheon allowing you to share the blessings of a meal in silence with each other.After we break the silence and for those who would like to stay, there will also be a traditional Shiva Puja (yogic ritual) from 3:30 – 4:30p which will include some chanting.   In Hindu mythology,  Shiva Nataraj (the dancing shiva) represents Shiva (God) as the source of all movement within the cosmos.  The purpose of the dance is to release mankind from the illusion of the idea of the ‘self’ and of the physical world, thus Shiva represents ‘liberation’.ShivaNatarayedit
